  • Native 4K, cinematic preset 55-70 fps
DLSS Quality. cinematic preset 55-70fps (no performance gain)
    DLSS Performance+ 2,3 or 4x FG, cinematic preset 45fps (!)
Enabling ray reconstruction with any setting drops the fps to 15?
I dropped down to the high preset but under no circumstances can I get the game to go over 100 fps using any DLSS setting. FSR3.1 Performance on the other hand puts me at my LG C1's limit of 120fps without frame gen.

Long story short: DLSS support seems to be all over the place? Anyone else seeing issues?

I7 Ultra 265KF, 32GB DDR5, RTX5070 12GB same driver.

I'm having graphical glitches, shimmering around text and detail, its less apparent using DLSS 4.0 and performance stays a bit more stable with that over 4.5, I wasn't sure whether my issues were from playing at 3440x1440 UW but it seems not, I've tried Cinematic and lower and also with ray reconstruction on and off. Performance tanks with it on but not quite as bad as down to 15fps I tend to wobble between 25-35fps mostly with it on.

I've also tried it via GeforceNow on 5080 at 4K on my LG OLED via a mac mini and similar graphical glitches

@Langers Thanks for the reply, since posting this I have refunded the game on steam and got the PS5(Pro) version. I figured I'd take the hit to graphical fidelity in favor of less headaches. I tried every combination of settings possible but performance never got to where I felt it could be because of the DLSS issues I was seeing.

I hope the game sees the necessary patches in the future

How is the pro version, I've gone over the 2 hours anyway in testing and tinkering so will be sticking with this version now by the looks of it, fingers crossed it gets fixed fairly soon, I was on here looking to see if Alex had posted any recommended settings or if they had dug into the issues

@Langers To be real honest, I was so done tinkering, I just put that sucker on 30fps quality mode and never looked back. The game defaults on "balanced" but I want straight to quality. I'll try the other settings tonight and I'll let you know how they run. There is plenty to choose from on a 120Hz screen because you can manually play with v-sync / VRR, even in the 30fps option which falls well below the 48Hz threshold.
Quality/30fps looks fine and stable but obviously does come with the expected grainy look of a 30fps game.

5070Ti, 9800 X3D, (also LG C1 coincidentally.), Nvidia 595.97
Playing at 4K, DLSS 4,5, balanced, framegen (x4) with ray reconstruction on.
Graphics settings are all set to Ultra (not max), except for lighting quality (which is at max). Advanced weather effects turned off (some internet rumors going around it's a performance killer).
Around 50 hours in, I am mostly hitting 120fps. One notable exception was a boss fight that's set inside with a lot of NPCs and destructible elements, which crippled it into the 40s here and there.

Alex must really be dying because I'm surprised he still hasn't put out a full settings video yet.

@LoktarOgar I'm guessing the 9800x3D vs my measly 14600K is what's getting you these results. For some reason the ray reconstruction option especially, was like dropping Thor's hammer on performance.
Cool that you're also on the C1. I'm so happy with that thing. I've been looking at the new models but for me they offer little to no additional benefit. I feel the C1 is plenty bright for me and 4K/120 is more than sufficient for my needs.

@NetshadeX
I'm never sure how important CPUs are for stuff like ray tracing/reconstruction. I was thinking your 5080 ought to be giving you an edge, but maybe not?

I've always used my C1 as a PC monitor first and foremost but I noticed a couple months ago that I have burn-in issues at the top and bottom (task bar and browser bar)
The pixel refresh thing doesn't appear to do anything for me. Think it's too little too late. I wonder if the fact that I'd always had it set to HDR on made things worse.

Man, that sucks. Burn in scares me too. I have countless hours in The Division 2 and switched off all HUD features just for that reason.
