Nothing else to add. I'd love to see a deep dive into Death Stranding 2, what the graphics look like maxed out, how the different vendors upscaling and other solutions stack up against each other. Just like those you guys at DF always put out.

Kinda fell in love with the first game, even though it was a different experience. The second one looks to be as good or maybe even better. Will definitely be playing it soon, on PC.

same, loved the first death stranding on PC. im sure once Alex is all rested up he might be getting to that, be it a general review/optimized settings guide. I do remember John saying he thought the second was even better than the first one. That said no rush cuz im waiting for a discount sale for it on steam anyways

Well, I had too much fomo and it's been a very long time since I played the first one - pre-pandemic! So I've started playing and I'm reasonably happy with my setup on my 4070 Super using DLSS quality at 1440 with things pretty maxed out. That said, there seems to be a real lack of any coverage of the PC version, and I'd really love an Alex update, and I'm not that far in yet, just savouring the experience.

@Rich_Leadbetter Even so, its just hugely enjoyable and satisfying to watch those videos where you show different aspects of the graphics when maxed out on PC. I just bought it and have been playing it a bit. Finished Resident Evil Requim just a few days earlier. Comparing the cinematics and such, kinda feel the characters in DS2 cinematics are a class above RSE, even if the latter is path traced. The RE engine is surely capable, but i find it a little muted, for lack of a better explanation, compared to Decima in DS 2. Probably an unfair comparison as one is open world vs smaller in and outdoor zones. Although its also appreciated when you do optimized settings.

I haven't braved the second game yet and I'm not sure when I will. For context, I think Metal Gear Solid 1-3 are amongst the greatest games ever made and I love 4 as well. But Death Stranding's ending just... went on forever and I was lost. I enjoyed the game itself though so perhaps I should just play it.

I would have liked to see this also, but accept it's more important Alex is saved for other stuff.
