It's a game that's been almost lost to the world - simply because getting it to work and install properly is so incredibly difficult. But somehow we did it and in this Retro PC playtest, we analyse the original PC port of Gears of War - Games for Windows and all! - running on the hardware of the day, represented in this case with a nice Dell PC running a Q6000 CPU and GeForce 8800GT. Classic game, classic rig - so just how well did it actually run at launch?
