Ubisoft Fixes Black Flag Resynced 30fps Cutscene PC Bug, PSSR Issue on PS5 Pro 1

Ubisoft has released patch 1.06 for Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynced, fixing some long-standing technical issues we flagged in our earlier coverage and many other bugs that we did not. The patch is 15GB on Xbox Series consoles, 5GB on PS5 and 4GB on Ubisoft Connect for PC, while Steam requires a download of just 1.8GB.

The highlight for me is the fix for the 30fps cutscene bug on PC, where customising your settings previously forced cutscenes to be limited to 30fps - while choosing any of the setting presets like high or medium would instead see them run at higher frame-rates. This has now been fixed, which is a huge boon for anyone using our Resynced PC optimised settings.

The patch also fixes the PSSR bug we noted in our original PS5 Pro testing, where saves brought from PS5 to PS5 Pro wouldn't engage PSSR properly, instead falling back to TAAU. Now, PS5 Pro should automatically adopt second-gen PSSR regardless of where the save originated.

Have you played Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag? And will you play Resynced? (738 votes)

  1. Yes, and I'm getting Black Flag Resynced60%
  2. Yes, but I'm not sure about getting the remake22%
  3. No, I haven't played it before, but I'm getting Resynced13%
  4. No, I haven't played it before and don't intend to5%

My favourite other patch note is "fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to assassinate drunk pirates in smoke after entering combat with them." Glad that's sorted.
