@Bakewell I have LG C1 (HGiG) and it always worked for me in a way that after waking up the console, it is SDR and only turns on HDR mode after Iaunching HDR compatible game. When I close that game, I have HDR home screen as well and it only turns into SDR after I launch SDR game again. I just checked it and it works exactly the same now. I also have turned off HDR in handheld since you don´t have the option for it to work only on compatible software as you do docked, if it changes anything.
