Topic: Suggestion - Alternate Payment Options

I'm a big fan of DF but not so much of Patreon. Since y'all have a shiny new self-hosted site would you consider offering payment options that don't depend on Patreon? Adding a direct payment option on the site might generate more revenue and cut down on whatever Patreon's cut is. insert take-my-money meme

@knewman I can't speak completely on behalf of DF on this one, but I can certainly see where you are coming from. Using Patreon makes the whole process much much easier for us and allows benefits to be shared across different things (such as Patreon itself and this website). Fragmenting the payments across different systems would certainly make things much more complicated in the long run, and would probably outweigh any benefit we get by reducing Patreon's cut. Never say never, but for now I imagine we'll keep everything under one banner to keep it simple and easy to administer.
