Are there any retro PC game-focused channels/podcasts/communities people here can recommend? I ask because much of the retro videos and podcasts that I've found tend to focus on console games, often with little interest in the PC side of things.
Maybe I'm generalising a bit in these examples, but I often find a podcast might look at Sim City on the NES and SNES but then skip over 3000 and 4 on the PC. Or an episode might look at Star Wars games but then ignore all the PC flight sim-style games.
Some of the channels and podcasts I've found aside from DF that cover retro PC games are:
LGR, Pixelmusement (ancient DOS games), Three Moves Ahead (great strategy podcast with some great retrospectives of specific years), Civvie11, and Mandaloregaming.
That seems like a good few - but some of them release videos quite sporadically. Some of the other channels/communities I've checked out tend to focus more on collecting or restoring original hardware or general retro computing - whereas my interest is more in the games themselves.
Thanks for that; it's exactly the kind of channel I'm interested in. I've also watched a few of GamerZakh's videos recently which are great and cover the city-building genre and some other PC-centric titles too https://www.youtube.com/@GamerZakh/videos
