It hasn't been my most active of gaming years, but I've managed to beat a good handful.
I'm currently finishing up on BALL x PIT. I might have that one done today, if all goes according to plan...
Here's my full 2025 completed list:
1. Simulation Clicker (PC)
2. Ember Knights & DLC Wrath of the Architect (PC)
3. Diablo IV (Xbox)
4. Warden's Will (PC)
5. Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep (Xbox)
6. Avowed (PC)
7. Contra Hard Corps (Sega Genesis)
8. Split Fiction (Xbox) — my favorite on this list
9. Elden Ring: Nightreign (PC)
10. Salt & Sacrifice (PC)
11. 9 Kings (PC)
12. Roboquest (PC)
A slow year. 10 games and 6 are either new versions or were released before this year. Put off Baldur's Gate for ages as I thought I'd never find the time, but it was incredible. Of this year's actually new games, Doom Dark Ages was the most fun, which was unexpected. As I get older, I have less tolerance for bloat and Creed Shadows really reinforced this, amazed I completed it.
Any lesser known recommendations from this year would be appreciated.
Baldurs Gate 3
Assassins Creed Shadows
Doom Dark Ages
Gears of War Reloaded
MK World
DK Bananza
Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
BotW (Switch 2 Edition)
MK Galaxy (Switch 2)
Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch 2)
Honestly after making the list, was shocked I've played this many all ready. Though I still feel like I'm behind some non-existent goal to finish more games. Will never finish my backlog if I only get through 10 games a year.
Palworld
The Invincible
Fort Solis
A Game About Digging a Hole
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The Thaumaturge

A Plague Tale : Requiem (This weekend hopefully)
Along with the standard gachas (Star Rail & Wuthering Waves) and the various silly multiplayer games that feel like they have just exploded this year with stuff like Repo and Peak.
I track what games I play in a spreadsheet, looks like this year so far I've completed:

So as it's week 46 now, a little over one game per week. A nice pace this year.
Due to life circumstances, I haven't been able to finish as many games as I usually do in a "regular" year, but so far here are the titles I've completed this year:
System Shock Remake (PC)
Assassin's Creed Shadows (PS5 Pro)
Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS5 Pro)
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail (PC)
Resident Evil: Director's Cut (PlayStation)
Ridge Racer (PSP)
Death Stranding 2 (PS5 Pro)
Jet Set Radio Future (OG Xbox)
Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 (PS5 Pro)
I've also played quite a bit of Outrun 2 and Dead or Alive 3 on OG Xbox, a console I'm having a lot of fun with at the moment. But I have so many more games I have bought on discounts that I have yet to complete: Gloomwood, Selaco, System Shock 2 - 25th Anniversary, and many more that I still need to grab like MGS Delta and Silent Hill f.
I fully understand I'm a huge outlier with these. I typically play around 100 games every year. I work outside all day so I have no problems just settling in with a game during most of my free time. I don't really go for achievements or 100% in most games unless it's really something big and special to me. Once Jeremy Parish started getting into Genesis and TG16 games I decided I'd start to play the games along with his videos and that's been really fun, except for Last Battle and Tommy Lasorda Baseball, which are not fun.

This is 99 games so far (depending on how you count Undertale I guess, each chapter could be its own entry).
It's been a really really great year so far!
Wow, the amount of games some people have completed this year is quite astounding. My list for the year:
Stellar Blade
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4
Blue Prince
The Midnight Walk
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The Talos Principle 2
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
Silent Hill 2 (Remake)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Baldur's Gate 3
I only rolled credits on 4 (5 if you count a DLC as well) this year, even so I played many games.
1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (that one twice, 1 time without DLCs, and a second time with all DLCs, wrapped up just a few days ago)
2. Avowed
3. Blue Prince
4. Lego Voyagers (coop with my 6yo)
Bonus: I also started and finished the CP2077 Phantom Liberty DLC this year. And I played tons of CK3, and that one you can't really finish.
