GameCube

After the N64 lost the battle against the 32-bit Playstation Nintendo decided to design a machine that was intended to go head-to-head with Sony's next console. Codenamed 'Dolphin' in the early stages of development, the GameCube was a compact and incredibly sexy piece of hardware that gained many fans from day one. It also played host to some incredible video games, but sadly this wasn't enough to score a victory over the incredibly popular Playstation 2. Despite it's modest commercial success the Cube has gone on to become one of Nintendo's most beloved machines.
