Re: Nvidia's new DLSS 5 Brings Photo-Realistic Lighting To RTX 50-Series

@maxeez0323 I don't know what we should expect DF to say after sitting a couple of hours at a supervised demo session and not being able to fully dissect the technology by themself. For not bashing it out of the gate they did mention "is Nvidia's interpretation of that future what gamers and developers actually want?" and "There's a lot to process here - and there's the sense that we're still not fully aware of the full implications of this technology", so they did lift that there could be implications from gamers and developers.

But from a technology standpoint this is amazing to achieve from a single GPU running realtime graphics, and something I expect DF to report on, without them telling me how to feel about it.

Just my thought.

Wow .. talk about shooting the messenger. The comments here are like hearing toddlers whine about not getting their peas on the right side of the plate.

The technology are super exciting and will give game developers even more choice and options to realise their full vision for the game. Or simply giving gamers a CHOICE to enhance the game. I only hope that this technology won't create a divide in games on PC to be played ONLY on an nvidia or AMD card, because you'll need their software solution.
