I was at my Mum's yesterday and found my old Megadrive (I'm a 47 year old Dad living in Northern Ireland). Brought it home and fired it up, and to my amazement the thing lives! Started a game of Cannon Fodder and it really brought me back. Then I realised I'd written down the codes in the manual for the levels I'd completed. Next thing I knew I'd just loaded a save game from 1994! 😅
I needed to share this somewhere, and this seemed like the obvious place, as I love watching the YT show. ❤️
@Ciaran_OD Oh wow, I haven't thought about that in ages. Writing passwords down on the back pages of the instruction manuals, or getting a used copy with them already written in!
Yeah I still have quite a few. I have my megadrive, N64, GameCube, Wii ,Wii U, ps4 pro and beyond. All still work though Megadrive has has a bit of a dodgy display signal connection. Unfortunately I traded all my handles Nintendo consoles over the years and don’t have any anymore. I hoping my kids will appreciate them in a few years. Though growing up on current gen consoles I doubt they will.
I haven't got my og consoles but I recently re-bought PS2, OG Xbox and bought Wii for the firs time in my life to play GC and Wii titles I'd missed. Also, after 5.5 months of waiting I finally got SuperStation One yesterday and it's a perfect device for almost all earlier systems I'm nostalgic for or interested in trying.
Currently Playing: Zelda TOTK, GT7, The Last of Us Part 2, Song of Conquest, Mario Kart World
