Topic: Neo Geo AES+

This was not on my bingo card and came out of no where. What is your take on this John (Uninterested/ Cautious / Excited) I always wanted a Neo Geo as a kid, and even have considered taking the plunge as an adult, but have been put off by the price of games. This dropped out of no where for me after catching wind of it just 24 hrs earlier and thinking “what if they re-released the Neo Geo” and then BAM that’s actually what they did, or at least that’s what they are claiming. I was checking all day for a comment from you guys as this seemed so far up your alley. I did drop $1000 on the Ultimate edition in a hope and a prayer that this won’t suck. I hope I am not let down.

It seems really interesting. Supposedly it's not using emulation or FPGA. Instead they're creating new ASICs with a HDMI mod. I'm surprised how cheap the price is considering all the custom chips the OG Neo had.

Amazed this has not really featured in gaming new outside of X and YouTube. Preordered from Amazon.

I imagine lots of people just aren't interested in spending their money on something that the Saudi crown will profit from.

Seems plenty enough people will, given it has record sales numbers already.
