With the not-E3 shows out of the way, what did everyone think of what we've seen? What are you most looking forward to?
Personally, I'm a lot more excited for Halo: Campaign Evolved than I was before. It looks fantastic and the new levels are a nice bonus. Gears of War: E-Day also looks great.
Gen Atlas looks interesting. Is it The Last Guardian but with robots?
My big thumbs up go to Laufey and Ocarina of Time. I’m impressed but not wowed by Wolverine, Halo, and GOW. The rest have to work to impress me
Ocarina of Time will no doubt be amazing but it's odd that they only teased it like that. If it's due this year then hopefully we'll get a dedicated Direct very soon.
@EventfulCitrus I’m sure it will get its own Direct. Look at Starfox. It was teased just last month, a direct a week or so ago, and it releases next week. Nintendo isn’t giving us a lot of time to think about it.
usually I would post this in Neo-gaf but to be honest, this e3 season was really bad, it was better than most of them since 2021 but still there is no big reason to invest in a console for those who aren't gaming, and that is my big takeaway. e3 2014-19 had tons of games that made people get into gaming like GOW 2018, Ghost of Tsushima and much more.

Good point. Fingers crossed, then! I'm hoping for more than just a graphical revamp.
@Snorlaxcat The E3 of old was just more exciting in general I think. The presenters, the crowds and the reactions are missing now. It's hard to keep up with what's going on when it's just trailer after trailer, especially when many games are quite similar.
Honestly, the tiny snippet of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the only thing that really got me excited from the recent game shows and that thankfully is coming later this year (my guess is it will be Nintendo's big pre-Christmas release for Switch 2). It has been over 20 years since I last played this game and it is an absolute gem so I am really looking forward to revisiting it with a 2026 visual overhaul and hopefully with refined gameplay and possibly some extra content?
Everything else looked fine from Microsoft and Sony but nothing stood out as especially exciting. To be fair, I never watch these shows live, I can't be bothered to sit through all the trailers and nauseating amounts of pre-marketing hype these days, and I instead just watch the post-show coverage on YouTube by channels like Digital Foundry, which I find much more interesting.
