Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition; what a name huh. Well, at least we got it.
But it seems to have some image quality issues, especially in hand held.
The game seems to my eyes to actually be running in 4K docked and 1080p in handheld. The issue seems to be monolith's terrible, awful post process image sharpening. Saw some website say it might be up-scaling artifacts but that sounds off since the switch 1 edition isn't upscaled and static objects look just fine. I could always be wrong.
I don't think it's just sharpening, I noticed some swimming on character face textures that looks like some form of upscaling is being used.
It looks like they're using some form of DLSS, the way the edges have that kinda painterly look to them, plus some fairly noticeable disocclusion artefacting as you're running through fields that I swear wasn't there in the Switch 1 version.
The docked experience to my eyes was solid, it's really portable that leaves something to be desired.
