One of the things they got called out for was constantly marking bugs on the github as "completed" without fixing said bugs, and I've just had that same experience myself. They closed my issue down without addressing it.
Clearly very dishonest and doing this stuff for clout, they even changed their github page to proudly display how sites like digital foundry have covered the project
And the people making the argument that is free so why should people complain, they don't seem to understand how frustrating this is for the people who do these things properly, and with PASSION instead of just trying to get attention
Literally saw reddit comments from the developer of "psxrecomp". Regarding someone who used his tools and ai to make a sloppy crash bandicoot port and the dev of psxrecomp was clearly very saddened by it
That's what people defending ai slop don't understand, the ones actually making GOOD ports, made from passion and love. Those people will loose interest now we have these shoddy ai ports coming out basically every single day at this point.
