Re: The New Call of Duty Black Ops Port Charges $40/£35 for a Basic 1080p Upgrade

When they announced it I had little hope of this being decent. Seemed to me they just wanted to tap into the ps4/ps5 market since Playstation is the only system that doesn't have BLOPS 1&2 on current gen. This just confirms it. 4k@60 with all DLC included for $60 would have been minimum acceptable. Now you'll have a fractured playerbase once more, those with the dlc and those without, basically making sure Team Deathmatch will be the most populated playlist.

Re: Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 and MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ PC handhelds announced at Computex

I see this pair of Xreal do not have a dial for adjusting the lenses for us folks that wear regular glasses. I didn't see anything, but I assume you can buy prescription lens inserts that you can add to the glasses to make them usable. But that's another cost on top of the already high $850 (plus tax) cost of the glasses alone.
I already own an Xbox Ally X, so I'll be skipping this iteration that has zero improvements on performance side but a nice OLED screen.
If I didn't already have one, I may have considered it if it was sold without the glasses for a reasonable price.
I have a feeling the Xbox Ally X will be able to run most everything for a few more years, just like the Steam Deck before it. I do not see a point of yearly upgrades if the performance improvements are not significant versus previous generation

Re: Nvidia's new DLSS 5 Brings Photo-Realistic Lighting To RTX 50-Series

No. Grace literally has different lips between the two comparison shots. Either I am too used to baked in old school lighting or some generative AI is being used here to Yassify the models to make them look like what you see AI generates these days when input for "generic good looking woman" comes up with. I do not like how this first look at DLSS5 looks like. Not one bit.

Glad to see you guys have a "home base" now. Been watching you guys for probably over a decade at this point. Keep up the good work.
Also, thank you SO MUCH for having actual forums. Good luck to anyone trying to find an answer to some obscure tech question in a discord chat log.
