Re: AMD's Ryzen 7 7700X3D Is the Heart of My New SteamOS Gaming PC

I also just put together a living room PC to try out steamOS. Like many others I dodged the ITX tax, using Lian Li’s A3-mATX case because of its tremendous compatibility and flexibility. That being said, at around 26L, it’s not going to hide out unseen.

The guts of the machine are pretty modest components from older builds, but I tried to put together something really power efficient. A Ryzen 5600x paired with a Radeon 6600 had modest titles drawing less than 100w from the wall! SteamOS seems to work great, and for a living room PC hooked up to the TV, I don’t really have any complaints.

I’m tempted to wipe the system and install Bazzite to take a look at that next. Either way, it has been a deeply fun build and it’s exciting to finally see a small window of opportunity to see what we can do outside of Windows for gaming.
