@Darren1967 The announcement talks about retail partners selling keys, who would have to be allowed to control their own pricing. Ironically, Sony removed this option years ago (in practice, in the Uk at least it was usually cheaper to buy direct from PSN). I assume this is a necessary step to clear legal hurdles and they are already involved in several PSN pricing lawsuits which this would preempt.
Additionally Shopto for example sell discounted PSN credit. There will be digital pricing competition and there has to be because otherwise every major region will sue them under competition laws.
