@Darren1967 I was with you all the way until you said PC and Switch 2, which have already travelled down this dark path.
Playstation was probably the last bastion of pretend ownership, I am as far as possible still disk only, and have been since the PS1 and before that.... but perhaps me being cynical, a portion of disks only complete an install with a mandatory online check and download these days, so the current situation of full physical ownership is a bit murky already sadly.
I rue this day, I am lucky enough to say that I would pay £600, £700, £800, with consideration, without crying too much and so would buy the PS6.
However, digital only, now there is my potential end of days scenario, and Switch 2 is not the place to find shelter. I am not a PC enthusiast, but at least there are multiple market places and deals to be had, but I will not be heading there either.
