Much time spent on the Discord in the past, happy to see a forum here on the new site! Still eagerly awaiting Valve's next hardware announcement as I was whenever I was last active...
Hiya - long-term freeloader, first-time patron. Read more about games than I play these days but recently obsessed with Ball X Pit. Enjoy the technical breakdowns but can also happily lapse back into V-Rally 2 on PS1 and think it's AMAZING. Scottish, rarely leave the house without complaint.
Hello! DF content is top tier, the attention to detail in terms of performance is greatly appreciated and earned my Patreon sub.
I've been a gamer since the N64 days, and when I built my first PC (Athlon with a Radeon 9600xt All-In-Wonder). Looking forward to hanging with this community and future DF content!
DF fan since like barely before Covid. RTX 3000 hadn't launched yet but the reveal happened. PS5 wasn't out yet but Cerny was just about to do the tech presentation for PS5. Gaming since the NES but not really an old school gamer.
Hello everyone! I'm Renki and I've watched DF since the beginning and been a DF Retro patron since that tier launched. Been on Discord for years, too, mainly on the Retro channels. I'm a game collector and enjoyer of all kinds of video game culture since the 1980's.
Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well. It's great to be here. I've been gaming since the commodore 64 days (Way of the exploding fist FTW) I like laid back single player gaming to unwind after a hard days work. Most of my time gaming is spent on PC but I boot up my PS5 on occasion too. My favorite games are The Division (2), FH5 and Cyberpunk. No matter what new games I purchase, I always end up playing these 3 more than those
Hey how's it going. DF fan and ex game developer here. Worked at some of the greats including the mighty Bitmap Brothers. Great to see the guys independent and on the web in such fine form.
Hello! Long time watcher, new Patreon supporter inspired by the declaration of independence. Looking forward to getting to know some likeminded people and hopefully being a productive member of the community!
So great to see an old style forum, which should get some good traction! Reminds me of the good old days when I ran a forum for our old gaming clan - The Muppet Clan! They started during the days of the Dreamcast, and only really disbanded after the 360/PS3 days!
A fresh website with an old school style forum. Who couldn't resist? I've been a fan of all the work that DF has recently done. And this little website might just be the cherry on top. Now that I think about it that last forums that I use to post on were Insert Credit, NASIOC.com, and Shack News (hanging in out in the chatty during lunch). Oh the good old days. Thank you for this, and I look forward to many discussions on here.
Hey all. I'm 41 years old and been gaming since I was 2 with the Commodore 64, ColecoVision, Atari and NES. I'm into the typical guy stuff like tech, gaming, sports, travel, etc.
I've got a degree in Computer Science and work as CTO of a health/fitness company. I've been a part of various gaming forums over the years, and also a moderator at times for some of them like IGN. I'm not sure how active I'll be on this forum, but I'm glad it's here!
Some of my favorite games of all-time include Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei, the Overcooked series, Halo series, and those awesome N64 wrestling games like WWF No Mercy. I'm a big fan of co-op games, with a recent favorite being Helldivers II.
I've been a fan of Digital Foundry for a while now and appreciate the values and mature nature of the channel.
Hello all. I must say, being back on a forum is a very pleasant feeling. I'm 44, so I've frequented quite a few in my time.
I got hooked on the long form DF videos on Youtube having tired of the IN-YOUR-FACE style of some other channels.
I also enjoy GameScoop and Kim Justice. Anyway, hello again. See you around.
I've been watching DF videos for about a decade so it's kinda a no brainer for me to use their website as well.
Just a heads up, as long as you don't disrespect my beloved Wii U I'll be nice back.
I am Someguyperson (Zach is the real world). I'm an engineer for a big tech company, so I can sometimes come up with some questions for DF direct, but I most certainly can't keep up with the Discord. A forum like this is much more my speed. I really enjoy the deep technical dives, but I also feel that this is still all about video games and you shouldn't take everything so seriously. I can't stand militant fanboys, so I poke fun at them and mock them by making very un-serious comments. I might have the most "last questions" of DF direct and as Rich says, the last question is never a serious one. I prefer to make everyone laugh and have a good time. That's what this is all about, right?
My other interests include: cooking, baking, photography, music, beer, spirits, and me trying to fix up my house. I would say I'm very good at cooking & baking, so I can absolutely give feedback advice there. My palate is also probably good enough to be a judge at a serious beer or spirits competition. I do a lot of sensory stuff, but I am not a certified sommelier or something similar. I could definitely pass the lower levels of those tests though. Instagram gave me ads for Ableton plugins & black truffles, so I'm sure that accounts for something?
