My earliest memory of DF was stumbling across John's Shenmue retrospective (as I own shenmuedojo.com seeing this was a massive thing) and that opened the floodgates for the rest of the DF content. John was kind enough to come on our podcast a few years ago too.
I'm a regular listener to the Podcast and catch videos when I can. The work done here is excellent, informative, insightful and just top notch. Worth every penny of my Patreon.
Hello, I'm Thomas. I used to work at Gamer Network and helped build the old Digital Foundry website. Great to see DF finally get a fully featured editorial site to themselves!
Supporter since independence but longer term viewer - I work in AI so am especially interested in stuff like DLSS and Ray Reconstruction, but also sensitive to stutter and find DF is the only place I can trust to save me buying a poor game. New website looks great - Discord is potentially too active for me to keep up with so hoping to participate more in the forums.
Hello everyone!! I've been watching Digital Foundry for years and have been a occasional Discord lurker. Really glad this exists, I spent a good chunk of the 2000s in forums and always found Discord to be a shallow replacement.
Looking forward to chatting with you all in future threads!
Been a huge DF fan for a long time, and a Patreon supporter for quite a while too. I've been a gaming-centric forum dweller on and off for quite a few years. Glad to have a community here to connect with some more like-minded people about vidya games.
I created an account on Eurogamer to comment on the very first Digital Foundry video — been watching them ever since. I think I've watched pretty much every video and only missed a couple.
Have loved the development of DF over the years, and frankly found DF very helpful during the Covid-lockdown where it felt like there were mates in the room having a chat.
Super pleased Richard and the chaps have their own site now, wish them the best and much success.
I'm a 34 from the UK, I discovered DF in 2014 while living in Japan, just something I could understand that wasn't Japanese.
Favorite DF memory, I was listening to DF podcast while pushing my daughter in her pram during the whole "what's in the box" shenanigans and had to pull over to the side to have a chuckle
Well this is rather bespoke. Good to see DF supporting older cranial hardware for those of us who struggle to run Discord chats smoothly above 60 comments per second. It's going to be fun to finally put profile pictures to names that, for the last three years, I have associated with lineart drawings of a grumpy Richard!
Hey all, Jay here - been watching DF since the retro series began, so almost a decade at this point. There's still no other outlet that covers the technical aspects of video games in such breadth and depth.
Been on Eurogamer for so long, all the way through uni etc. Gutted then the forum died. Love DF and particularly appreciate the podcast as it means I can actually stay up to date while heading into work. It's my favourite podcast. Glad to be here.
I’m Arjen from the Netherlands, and I’ve been watching DF videos for as long as I can remember. I play just about everything, but I have a soft spot for Japanese-developed games, I like a good challenge and strong core systems and gameplay. I enjoy both retro and modern titles.
I’m also thankful to my wife for letting me use the attic for my hobby and collection. And for allowing the MVS arcade cabinet in the living room! Oh, and I spend quite a bit of time gaming on the MiSTer as well.
