Special edition graphics cards can be very hit-and-miss, but MSI's Mandalorian themed RTX 5080 is amusing enough to mention here - especially as the two-slot card comes with a Grogu support that sees a screw disconcertingly appear from the top of the kid's head. MSI's press release says that the VGA holder "combines functionality and cuteness".
The card itself is nice though, with a Beskar-inspired brushed metal finish all over and some leather-inspired brown elements near the centre of the triple-fan top cover. The art on the back of the card is probably the highlight for me, as it's done in a classic Western style that fits the motif of the series-and-now-film.
There's also a customisation element I've not seen before on a graphics card, with swappable circular magnetic backplates in Rebel red, Empire black or Grogu green.
The Mandalorian and Grogu RTX 5080 graphics card will be available in limited quantities - 500 are set to reach the European market - and arrives on May 22nd alongside the Mandalorian film. In the UK, you should be able to find stock from Scan.
Pricing for the card hasn't been announced, but for reference the cheapest MSI RTX 5080 available in the UK market costs around £1150, so at least that much.
