Fascinating article. I seem to remember at the time heavenly sword was said to make use of the SPUs for the characters hair sim. Now whether that was PR, or SPU usage becoming more nuanced in later titles is interesting. Anyhoo, thanks for doing the leg work!
I feel change in leadership is clear statement of intent, to make Xbox the AI gaming platform. As with all these things, it’s a move to cut cost, reduce headcount, and increase profitability. So when we’re all out of work, who will be able to buy this stuff?
