That 40fps mode looks like a really great option. I'm glad that more games are offering it. I started doing 40fps as a target on Steam Deck for graphically intensive games and it's very playable for me.
I really enjoyed the first three games. I'm hoping for a graphical update of the originals, with some nice quality of life improvements to the game thrown in to match modern games.
This was a great interview. I don't own any Intel GPUs currently, but I'm rooting for them to succeed. They're saying all the right things, and seem to be continuing to head in the right direction as well.
A stable and consistent gameplay experience can go a long way toward making a game enjoyable for many people.
These devices are fascinating, but I wonder if AMD is secretly working on a "true" handheld chipset. Something that is designed for gaming and handheld usage from the ground up.
So far, all of the APUs that have been released for handhelds seem to be rebadged laptop parts. This isn't a bad thing, but it would be interesting to see a part optimized specifically for a handheld, and what type of performance it could achieve.
