I'm hoping in the coming days/weeks that DF can do some testing on the memory that you understandably haven't had time to do yet. I'd like to really know the impact of the 1 vs 2 sticks, and then also if bumping it to 32 gig makes any meaningful difference in gaming. I'm guessing maybe no real performance difference due to the lightweight nature of Linux and the already limited nature of the CPU and GPU in the system. Still, the tinkerer in me would like to know!
I kind of always assumed the inclusion of the R5 3600 was to have the comparison point for approximating the console CPUs. If we're just looking for "low end for user base", then yep, the 5600x makes total sense.
I've gotten the console firmware update now, but I'm curious - for the titles that DF was able to see demonstrated, I'm assuming we're waiting for the developers of the various games to release game updates to take advantage of the new PSSR? Or were these titles enabled through the system level toggle?
