Hi, I'm Lewis. My avatar looks like Richard Leadbetter from Breath of the Wild. I ask silly questions on the patreon each week, get overly excited when the video releases, then inevitably disappointed when they don't get read out. Clearly I need to ask better questions.
Hello everyone, I'm soyokaze. some might feel this name is familiar, but I shall not spoiler where it comes from so that only true anime meganerds might get the chance to nod sagely.
I have been a DF devotee for a good 15 years now I guess, and day one patron, because they furnish me with endless fuel for my gaming tech obsession and even gave me a space where I can write extremely long and detailed posts about random stuff which is an unfortunate compulsion of mine.
2000 characters or go home, that's my rule. I will try to keep it to 2000 characters max. promise. sometimes I manage to, for real. wait, why is everyone running for the door?
Hi, I'm a long time DF viewer from Germany. I especially love the retro stuff. Gotta support a nice new forum, been addicted to them for around 25 years, since I first started participating on the sadly now defunct PlanetCrap
I've been a long-time viewer of Digital Foundry, especially once DF Retro became a thing, so I'm glad to see this forum become a thing.
As for myself, I've been operating The Land of Obscusion, a blog focusing primarily on obscure & forgotten anime & manga for the past 15 years, but I also cover a variety of video game-related subjects, as well. In fact, I'm in the midst of an overview of Eidos' infamous Fresh Games label, which I should have ready in the next week or two, and I'll share it over on the DF Retro section of this forum, if anyone would be interested in it.
Hi all, I've been watching DF since around 2016; my main gaming interest is retro PC games - and DF is one of the few YouTube channels to cover this topic well. I really enjoy going through old magazines to find PC games then getting them working on a modern PC. It's great to have the forum to discuss these kinds of topics and to see DF trying approaches like this to cater to different parts of their community.
Hey, long time DF lurker. So many videos have been invaluable when it comes to getting the biggest bang for my buck with graphic settings.
Also thrilled to see a real life gaming forum in this day and age. I miss forums from the early to mid 2000's were you could jump on and chat and discuss games.
Not like social media or discord, like old school forums that was close-knit enough that you'd know the people on there, not just someone you'd reply to once in a sea of comments.
I can't remember when I got into DF, but I've really come to appreciate them as counter-programming to the other gaming media I follow. They've carved out a perfect niche that truly was unserved. I also just cannot believe I'm just typing into a forum right now and not the VC surveillance state! Looking forward to all the posting we're going to be doing together on here. 🧐
This is so cool! I'm so happy for the digital foundry team.
I'm Gordon,
I tend to play Nintendo and indie games. Tend to avoid Blockbuster AAA titles because they end up being kind of bland in my opinion. Always interested in rendering tech and its future and for some reason utterly fascinated by frame gen technology and lossless scaling implementation.
