I like the Pro but support has been somewhat lacklustre, it has had some significant visual issues, but PSSR issues in some games and just lazy implementations in others have been a bit of a disappointment. As what was a cheap upgrade (I used the Very 20% off offer and then sold my original PS5 for £350) I would still do it again, but I think it is a shame it has not been better supported.
I mainly play the exclusives on PS5 or free games from PS Plus as I have a decent PC when I want the top end, I know I could wait for the Sony games to come to PC but I rarely do, although I have double dipped on a few and I agree that having a good PC does take some of the edge off of it. I also agree with the comments above that the PS4 Pro felt like much more of an upgrade over the base console than the PS5 Pro does, but I also think that the PS4 Pro was much better supported by devs.
I do think it makes way more sense to upgrade to a Pro if you also have a PSVR2, for some games (Vertigo2, Arken Age, GT7, NMS) it's a night/day difference, and I'm hoping the trend continues once PSSR is made available across all VR games.
I like the Pro in games with dynamic res like Cyberpunk. The lack of dedicated Pro options aside, the image is much cleaner than on base PS5 on account of the average resolution being higher. That alone makes the Pro worth it if you're on a larger 4K display imo.
