Looking forward to seeing the comparison between PS5 pro and PC, just started playing on pc at 4k with everything turned up on a 5070 12gb and its pretty solid at 60fps without framegen switched on
@FractalFlow I'm on an Intel ultra 7 265kf, 32gb with a 5070, after a reset and turning the settings up it was fine, I think I'd had outlook and MS teams open previously and they had been hoovering resources
Agree that the Elite V2 was probably my favourite controller to use but the reliability of it was poor, my first developed stick drift and was replaced under warranty, the second lasted a bit longer but eventually went the same way enough to irritate me, my son adopted it and still loves using it but it was poor when you look at the cost of it. The battery life was better than the Dualsense Edge which feels like it wants charging after probably 3-4 hours of usage. I've just had the steam controller and so far enjoying it but will keep an eye on this, if it doesn't come with a better standard of stick then its an absolute no from me
Just had a first quick go this morning before work, I'm going to need to experiment with the settings and will definitely be looking for some tips from the DF guys as it ran fairly well with default settings but that didn't have any frame gen switched on but neither were the RT GI setting either, that will be my evening testing that out
It was a really smooth order for me this time I was on there at 17:58 and it opened early, I was checked out via paypal, paid and had my email confirmation by 18:00, looks like it has just shipped today too
@AndreasWright Its certainly playable but I'm holding fire waiting for a patch to improve it at the moment as the shimmering and blurring on fast movement is annoying me, it is definitely more apparent on UW than standard
I've been trying this both on a 5070 12gb and on geforce now with the 5080 and there is a nasty shimmering around text on the hud on both with Ray Reconstruction on or off, and the grass and foliage looks bad with any sort of camera rotation at speed too, not sure if it is worse at 3440x1440 on an ultrawide so going to have to do more tinkering but either way its not drawing me in
Its a running theme with both them and Sony that we end up getting screwed somewhere along the line, have to agree with your comment on trusting them as I can't say I trust either platform any longer
@NetshadeX Whilst I'm not happy at the change of price for Game Pass I still subscribe for now but it will hinge on the long term of the new machine how long I stay with it, I can't say I'm any happier with Sony considering their current foray into dynamic sale pricing so some of use get more ripped off than others, seems both companies are driving everyone more and more towards PC as the best value system
I've always been a big proponent of the xbox ecosystem and I really do hope that this new system can pull off the ultimate aim, I'd be happy with a system that is capable of running xbox console software with the ability to use it in a pc capacity but windows does worry me, I wiped windows off a legion go s and installed SteamOS and wouldn't go back it outperformed the Steamdeck OLED I had previous to it, I wonder if it is possible, how long it will take someone to get SteamOS onto a Helix machine

Re: Review: GameSir G7 Pro 8K: An Impressive PC Pro Controller Worth Considering at $90/£100
Even at a budget price I think the Steam Controller is better value at £85 v £100 for this and its dreadful colour scheme
Re: Review: 007 First Light Is A Technical Standout on PS5 and PS5 Pro
@BrianRickard I thought RTGI was just on all the time there was no option
