@dyptan-io "biggest game in history" - that's a bit much for an unreleased game. GTA V was a good game, especially when I got it for free on Epic Games Store, but not the biggest game in history or something like this. I would expect this to be in the same vein
@A1an Base PS5 wow, so 2023. As it lacks any kind of ML capabilities, I guess not. Not really sure if any of the developers are complaining about RAM allocation on base consoles. It's always Series S that struggles in this regard. I mean, having more RAM is never a bad thing, but ultimately PS5 is a very balanced machine already, any software change will bring incremental results.
Now, finally, PS5 Pro is also balanced and brings the expected bang for the buck.
From this point onwards it's PS6 where we will see further radical improvements
Thanks Rich, great article! I still remember the time when DF team highlighted NFS Most Wanted PS Vita vs PS3 Video as one of the biggest surprises in terms of view count 😊 is it still getting views?
In the end, PS5 Pro, same as with the PS4 Pro, is an optional purchase. It's really good that you don't have to buy it to have a great time on the base console. PS5 Pro is definitely an improvement over the base console, though, however it's not a price-performance king due to the high asking price. PS4 Pro had easier time to penetrate the market due to basically slotting in to the old pre-reduced price level of PS4/slim. Nowadays with prices going up instead of going down, it's only natural that PS5 Pro is a much more expensive offer. And also PS4 Pro distinguished itself as a "4K" console while base PS4 didn't support anything past 1080p.

Hello John! Love coming back to this article. One question always bugs me though - have you had a chance to check the PS4 version (Mars edition)?
