Re: The Big PSSR Interview With Mark Cerny

@A1an Base PS5 wow, so 2023. As it lacks any kind of ML capabilities, I guess not. Not really sure if any of the developers are complaining about RAM allocation on base consoles. It's always Series S that struggles in this regard. I mean, having more RAM is never a bad thing, but ultimately PS5 is a very balanced machine already, any software change will bring incremental results.
Now, finally, PS5 Pro is also balanced and brings the expected bang for the buck.
From this point onwards it's PS6 where we will see further radical improvements

In the end, PS5 Pro, same as with the PS4 Pro, is an optional purchase. It's really good that you don't have to buy it to have a great time on the base console.
PS5 Pro is definitely an improvement over the base console, though, however it's not a price-performance king due to the high asking price.
PS4 Pro had easier time to penetrate the market due to basically slotting in to the old pre-reduced price level of PS4/slim. Nowadays with prices going up instead of going down, it's only natural that PS5 Pro is a much more expensive offer. And also PS4 Pro distinguished itself as a "4K" console while base PS4 didn't support anything past 1080p.
