Doesn't this potentially encourage destroying discs? Making the 2nd hand market availability even worse?
If someone wants to convert all their discs to digital, they're not going to probably want to lose all those entitlements were they to sell them or give them away when someone else then uses them post-sale.
So you either keep the disc anyway, which kind of seems to defeat the point, or you destroy it so it can't be used to invalidate your license, no?
Not advocating for this, to be clear. Just seems like an issue/potential problem...
This is pretty cool, actually. Though I imagine rights issues will limit the extent of this, much like it did on Xbox.
Will these be available only via Gamepass, or will they be available to purchase separately, as well?
If we own them digitally on Xbox, does the entitlement carry over to PC?
I think an unlocked or maybe 40 fps mode on Pro might be possible? Hard to say though. We haven't even seen any actual gameplay. It's hard to predict based on that.
Is there any reason you think 120hz support is unlikely? VRR I can sort of understand since that requires extra effort on PS5 to do properly, but considering the age of the games, 120fps seems pretty doable even at high resolutions, especially presuming these are ports of the PC versions and using a modern PS SDK version? Based on PC Gaming Wiki, seems like high fps in the Campaign might not be viable, but seems like multiplayer should be no issue.
@themightyant To be fair, as far as open-worlds go, this is a relatively restrained game compared to some. This is from the era of AC when the games were usually about 30 hours, maybe a bit more, rather than 100.

What the hell is going on here. If they were going to bring this over, why do it like this?

Uh, isn't the US price 79.99?

Re: Should Xbox Project Helix Offer a Disc-to-Digital Game Transfer Option?
How does one vote in the poll? It just shows the results already and no option to vote?
Re: Ex-Forza Devs Maverick Reveal Clutch, an Unreal Engine 5 Racing Game in the Mould of Need for Speed
Is there a particular reason the screenshots are so low-res in this article?
Don't really do the trailer justice.

Somewhat confused by this headline. Haven't they produced RAM before...?

Definitely an increase in resolved detail, though oddly inconsistent.
Re: Review: Crimson Desert PC: Changing Just One Setting Dramatically Boosts Frame-Rate
For some reason having both ultra, cinematic, and max is weird to me. It's just a naming thing, but it's odd.

@Spodlude Windows HDR unfortunately tends to be pretty broken.
Re: Crimson Desert: First Thoughts On The Base PS5 Version
It looks like PS5's performance mode disables displacement mapping? That's a pretty big loss.
