The OPTIMUS Maximus was the one I couldn't remember. There was the FLUX Keyboard that was basically a screen with a clear keyboard on top I think and also an E-INK keyboard called NEMEIO.
I just can't find any for sale anywhere. I was hoping that a mainstream maker had made something similar.
I have a decent PC. i7 13700, RTX4080 Gaming 64Gb DDR5 (as mentioned), MSi Z790 Carbon WiFi motherboard, PCi 5 NVME drive, etc etc. and I use a MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED 3440x1440 monitor.
BUT I rarely game above 60fps as I'd rather guarantee a smooth gameplay (as much as possible) and am quite happy playing with High or even Medium settings instead of ULTRA.
I live in a small flat and it gets quite warm, especially with my PC on all day. I play games or watch movies on my PC as I don't have a TV and never watch TV ever (it's all rubbish now-a-days [old person speak] ).
Anyway, thanks again for the info and I think I know a little more about RAM than I did earlier.
@MattGPT Can I ask you, as I've looked online and found it more confusing (I'm old now), what is the difference between CL20 / CL30 / CL40, and is there a real-world difference between 5200Mhz and 6000mhz.
I've just bought a Corsair Vanguard Pro 96 'Hall Effect' and thought that was expensive at £150 and I got a Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite for free with it.
One of the best buys I've made. I can't even imagine paying £350 for a keyboard only.... Wow.
@themightyant I agree with you. Maybe worth £599 at a pinch, but main offput for me is upgradeability. In about 2 years, it will struggle with more modern games.
I read a lot about the price of the controller been high, and maybe it is, but I only paid £85 and that included Postage and packing. So really I only paid around £75 for the controller.
Yes an Xbox controller can cost around £60, but it doesn't have touch, gyro or back buttons.
I play at a desk in my front room, so mouse and keyboard in hand reach, but I have hand cramps when using keyboard for too long.
I will only consider selling mine if I can't get on with it, but I think I will be ok with it. Most, if not al the games I play are on Steam anyway. I currently use a MS Elite 2 with rewasd.
@MattGPT I had it in my basket from the minute it went live and just kept spamming the checkout button. Finally got through.
It's wrong that so many are now showing up on ebay at around £150 though. Something needs to be done, but I don't know what, to stop scalpers.
Maybe ebay should stop people selling newly released item listing or put a cap on them at 20% including P&P.
EDIT: By the way, I was watching the listing and it went live by my computer clock at 5.58pm. That's when I added it to my basket. Eventually went through at 6.10pm.
3 pictures of the controller, all top view with one upside down for some reason. Where are the shots of the triggers or rear buttons. A shot of the case and accessories?
Is William Judd paid by the article as most seem to be from him.

Thanks @wsjudd.

Ah well, never mind.
Re: Review: Asus ROG Azoth 96 HE Is An Incredible Keyboard, But Not For £350
@wsjudd
Do you know of any keyboards with LCD (or OLED or even e-ink) keys.
I know there were a few 'Prototypes' floating around a few years ago, but I can't seem to find any that made production, or are for sale anywhere.
Re: MSI has the world's first "triple mode" gaming monitor, offering 4K 360Hz, 1440p 520Hz and 1080p 680Hz in one model
What sort of system would you need to run anywhere near those advertised.

Re: "Because RAM Isn't Expensive Enough" – Corsair Reveals Limited Edition Shugo DDR5
CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 5200MHz CL40 bought in July 2025 for £185.
Don't know much about ram but it seemed a good deal. I don't overclock as I like my PC to run as cool as possible.

Re: Yup, the Steam Controller Wilhelm Screams If You Drop It
Nice touch.
Can I ask, does anyone know of a good, easy to follow guide on creating a controller template for the new controller.
I especially want to add SHIFT function to allow multiple use of buttons and touch pads.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Steam Controller Reservations Open May 8th As Valve Implements Anti-Scalping Measures
Just had a message today (12th) that they are shipping mine.

Re: Steam Controller Reservations Open May 8th As Valve Implements Anti-Scalping Measures
@StooMonster Has yours changed yet, mine is still 'Packaged Item'.
I wonder if they oversold and are waiting on new stock to ship out.

@StooMonster Me too. Frustrating as it said on ordering 3-5 days...lol.

6.20pm in UK when I got mine.
Your poll asks 'Did you Pre-order'. I never saw a pre-order option, just went from 'Coming soon' to 'Buy now' at around 6pm.
Re: "We've Heard About Stick Drift and We've Experienced It Ourselves": The Big Steam Controller Interview
Thanks @themightyant & @Jerome7909.
I was wanting to map keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 to one pad and 5, 6, 7 and 8 to the other.
I did have one of the original Steam Controllers, but it was such a long time ago and I can't remember much about the remapping.
I also wonder if it will be compatible with ReWASD as I use that a lot with my Elite v2 controller. Time will tell I suppose.
Re: Review: Asus ROG Raikiri 2 Xbox Wireless Controller - A Better Elite Alternative
@wsjudd Sorry Will, I'd had a bad day with hospital apps and I think I took some of the frustration out on you. Again Sorry.
Re: "We've Heard About Stick Drift and We've Experienced It Ourselves": The Big Steam Controller Interview
Nice review Will and Oliver.
Can I ask if the touchpads can be split into different zones to allow say 4 keys assigned to each corner.
Re: Review: Asus ROG Raikiri 2 Xbox Wireless Controller - A Better Elite Alternative
Another incomplete review.

Re: Mark Cerny talks Project Amethyst, future Sony hardware: "You have indeed spotted the win!"
Please don't take offence at this question as I'm trying to understand the use of 'informed' in this article.
'the resulting email interview has informed our analysis'
& 'While Cerny's answers inform some of our takes in the video'
To me, and I'm probable wrong, but the word 'confirmed' seems a better fit.
Again, this is a genuine question and I truly want to learn.

Your last sentence should read
Oliver Mackenzie's breakdown of The Outer Worlds 2 on PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S.
