I want one, just to be able to overclock the games. But restock will probably take forever, as usual, and after 2-3 batches, they wont make any more, and stop supporting the console with firmware updates.
As a someone who owned the Super NT, and Mega SG, being stuck with some annoying bugs, made me go back to original hardware and a scaler instead. If you could get a stable overclock, that doesn't make games glitch, on a original N64, I would have gotten that instead.
There is no way in hell, that this was supposed to have a Switch 2 version. Looks like a delayed Switch 1 port, with a lazy SW2 mode, slapped on, at the last minute. Embarrassing.
Considering how much money, the Pokémon company makes on these games, this is just pathetic. The franchise should have gotten AAA budgets by now. The contrast between the Cyberpunk 2077 footage, and then back to Pokémon, was just hilarious. 🤣 Insane that people still pay $70 for this...
Should have had a 10 or 12gb GPU.
8gb won't last much longer, even at 1080p.
It will already struggle with demanding titles, especially UE5 games.
Even Switch 2 have between 9-10gb available.
At $399, sure, but higher than that, nope.
I expected much better specs...
But if this sells, maybe they'll make a "Pro" model.

Re: Proof That Recent Windows Update Harms Gaming Performance
I want an official Steam OS for PC.
Compatible with everything you need.
Then I can finally leave Windows behind, for good.
Re: Buy Now: GPU Prices May Soon Explode
My current PC build (with a RTX 4090, that I bought from a friend), might be the last, unless prices goes back to "normal" again...
I miss the pre-covid era, when even high-end, was afforable, and great bang for the buck.
I just feel a bit burned out, by the hobby.
Re: John Linneman's Retro PC Corner: From Meme to Cultural Icon
Also had a similar set up.
Wish I could find something similar, but with space for a 21:9 monitor.
Miss that old-school look, before all the "gamer" focused RGB madness, took over the world.
