Well, there goes my gaming 2027. Between an obligatory replay of the game and the two expansions, plus this new one, that would be another 200 hours of the wind howling.
@Chutney Pretty absurd statement, mate. Small devs not having the resources to develop for more than one platform is one thing. A corporation keeping a game exclusive to sell hardware is completely different beast.
I understand them. Consoles have very little to offer besides exclusive games at this point. A decade ago you could argue that maintaining a gaming PC required some extra efforts, but now it's pretty much effortless - Windows updates are automatically executed when you shut it down, video drivers update with a couple clicks, Steam and GOG Galaxy work pretty much flawlessly. You can play with keyboard and mouse, you can play with every controller out there, you can play on a TV, you can play on a wide range of monitors in every conceivable format. You buy a game on PC and you can even play it on a handheld device. The only argument left in favor of consoles is that PCs are big and you can't just put them under the TV in the living room. And Steam is about to solve that with the Steam Machine. Add to that the rumor that the next Xbox will be a console/PC hybrid of a sort that can play PC games and the scales go completely off balance. Sony's not making a choice here. They are playing the only card they have left.
Perfect timing for one of the most overpriced companies to enter the currently most overpriced segment of the market. And it's in gold color, so it must be worth it, it will pair well with my crystal gold chandelier.
I love my Arctis Nova Pro. I'm by no means an expert on audio, but it's super comfortable. I've had 6-7 hours long gaming sessions without even the slightest discomfort on my ears. And the two batteries makes it so that you never have to connect with a cable or think about charging. Looking forward to see what this new model has to offer.
@StooMonster I don't think they are lying to us. Nvidia is. And they just repeated what they were told. When they should have sat down and analyzed the images carefully. And "why not" should be clear by the *****-storm that's going on at the moment. They are being blamed as if they themselves developed the f-ing DLSS 5.
@StooMonster Well, that's why some people are angry at DF. Because it's clearly not just lighting. Grace's lips look completely different. At one point a character blinks and his eyelids go bonkers. There is obviously AI layering on top of the characters' faces. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame Rich and Oliver. They have their personal opinion, whatever. But they should have known this will be controversial and should not have rushed with a quick coverage from a hotel room.
The "three commitments" were written by an AI chatbot. Microslop have shown where they think the future is. I don't see why their Xbox strategy would be any different.
Some solid visual bangers this year. Doom truly looks most impressively on technical level. I would definitely add E33 on the list of the best, though. May not have the bells and whistles, but artistically it's one of the most beautiful games I've played.

Re: Death Stranding 2, One Year On: A Technical Philosophy That Continues to Impress
I really enjoyed the game. And it looks great on a 32:9 monitor. Games with panoramic vistas are something else on a super-wide.
Re: OneXPlayer 3 Arc G3 Extreme Tri-Mode Handheld Pre-Orders Start at $1399 on Indiegogo
I'm not interested in handhelds, but the idea of it being both a gaming handheld and a tablet looks interesting.
Re: DSX PC App Beta Adds Haptic Support, Bluetooth Audio to Sony DualSense Controllers Connected Wirelessly
I did the Pico as well and I'm happy with it. Could be interesting to try this one for comparison. But it's not free, so...
Re: Ex-Forza Devs Maverick Reveal Clutch, an Unreal Engine 5 Racing Game in the Mould of Need for Speed
I like the wear and tear details on the vehicles. But other than that, they don't show much.

Since they decided to abandon PC players, like me, nothing.

Don't worry the chat bot in charge will confirm whatever checks Valve puts just the same.
Re: Dualsense on PC: This $16 Raspberry Pi Adds Wireless Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback To The PS5 Controller
Worked like a charm for me as well.

Re: Metro 2039 Tech First Look: What We Learned From 15 Minutes of Footage
I like their focus on the paranormal elements. That could add some interesting twists to both the story and the gameplay. Looking forward to play it.

Re: 1998's Unreal: Past, Present And A Path-Traced Future
I totally glossed over this one back in the days. I think the first Unreal game I played was Unreal Tournament (1999).
